A month before he was targeted by a barrel bomb dropped by Russian/Syrian criminal aircrafts, Shamil was spending the night at our house and he left the next day, forgetting his scarf at the house.

Shamil was killed on 2 September 2016, during the siege of Aleppo city. His wife was dead after four days as a result of her injuries, leaving behind two children to be cared for by his mother, who had recently passed away.

Shamil, who used to document the regime, Russia, and Iran crimes, accompanied by his camera, which documented the history of the Syrian revolution in the city of Aleppo, gave away his life as a price for his commitment to people's causes.

I feel sorrow as I remember this revolutionary stature that we’ve lost, and I still can imagine him standing with his scarf wrapped, saying his immortal phrase: Whoever was loyal to a particular party (not the whole people), has betrayed the revolution!

قبل شهر من استهدافه ببرميل متفجر ألقته طائرات الإجرام الروسي/السوري ، كان شامل يمضي ليلته عندي وقد غادر في اليوم التالي ناسيا وشاحه في منزلي.

استشهد شامل بتاريخ ٢ أيلول ٢٠١٦ خلال حصار مدينة حلب ولحقت به زوجته بعد أربعة أيام متأثرة بجراحها ، تاركين وراءهما طفلين لتعتني بهما والدته والتي توفيت مؤخراََ.

شامل الذي اعتاد أن يغطي جرائم النظام وروسيا وإيران ترافقه كاميرته التي وثقت تاريخ الثورة السورية في مدينة حلب ، قدم حياته ثمناََ لالتزامه بقضايا الناس.

أشعر بالحزن وأنا أتذكر هذه القامة الثورية التي خسرناها وأتخيله واقفاََ ملتفحاََ بوشاحه ليقول جملته الخالدة: من تحزب فقد خان!
