WORLD REFUGEE DAY

OUR WALL MURALS

LONDON, UK

IDLIB, SYRIA

In Syria, graffiti is used as a ‘peaceful weapon’; a powerful way to share messages with meaning. We wanted to bring the use of art in this way to the streets of London and to mirror this action with our friends at Violet Organisation in Idlib.

On World Refugee Day we revealed a new wall mural in East London (with the help of Global Street Art Agency) and our partners Dawlaty, The Syria Campaign and Choose Love.

Repeating again, the message: “We dared to dream and we will not regret dignity,” this is an opportunity to for us to raise Syrian voices across the globe, as our mural becomes a hub for discussions around accountability and justice, refugees, the current situation in Denmark, IDPs in Syria and for the fight to free detainees.

If you are in London, please go and visit our wall mural. See below for upcoming activities there.

*The mural will be up until 9 July 2021.

Families for freedom gathering

This Monday the 5th of July, we're going to join families for freedom in holding pictures of our beloved friends and family members who have been disappeared by the Syrian regime. We will not stop raising our voice until our beloved ones as well as our country is safe

WITH SPECIAL THANKS…

Turning our idea into a real life, work of art would never have been possible without the help of some of our friends and partners. The Syria Campaign, Dawlaty, Choose Love and Violet Organisation - thank you so much.

The paint brush and pen have always been my peaceful weapon, through which I reflect the face of our civilization and the most important principles of our revolution in the right to express opinions freely.”
